Live Your Best Life
Follow our 3-Step plan to an active lifestyle.
If you’re like many of the people considering hormone replacement therapy at our clinic in Baton Rouge or Metairie, the treatment process may seem intimidating. In fact, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is a clinically tested, straightforward 3-step process that our specialists customize to meet your specific needs.
Think of hormones as the body’s internal communication system that transfers messages between cells. Serving that function, hormones control most of your basic bodily functions, coordinating everything from digestion and growth to appetite, the function of your immune system, your libido, and your mood. Maintaining the delicate balance of hormones is essential for your health. Fluctuating hormone levels can undermine your health and overall sense of well-being.
Many of the symptoms patients experience due to low hormone levels are related to aging. Some of these include a faltering sex drive, weight gain, lack of energy, and forgetfulness or “brain fog.” But just because these are common concerns doesn’t mean you have to live with them. Medically monitored hormone replacement therapy can help.
Our team at Rejuvime understands that many of our patients aren’t familiar with hormone replacement therapy and have questions about the process. We want to set your mind at ease by explaining what you can expect when you choose hormone replacement therapy, no matter what symptoms have led you to our practice.
This initial appointment includes meeting with the team member who will be your point person at Rejuvime. You’ll get a thorough overview of the services offered at our practice and answers to any questions you have, including information about the cost of the treatments and how the process works. We will do a quick blood draw at our clinic, so our lab can run several tests before your next appointment. These comprehensive hormone and wellness blood analyses are individualized for women or men.
Our nurse practitioner reviews the results of the blood tests with you and discusses your symptoms. Based on this information, we’ll create a customized treatment plan that incorporates services designed to address your specific needs.
We’ll schedule periodic appointments to track your progress throughout the year. During these appointments, we’ll draw blood at our clinic, and your nurse practitioner will discuss possible adjustments to your specific treatment depending on the lab results and clinical symptoms. Your initial follow-up appointments will be scheduled every 3 months and then every 6 months after that.
Additionally, we’ll provide nutrition counseling and discuss how treatments can help you lead an active lifestyle.
