Blood Testing

Low-cost blood testing at our Baton Rouge center focuses on hormones, nutrition, metabolic disorders, and preventable disease. A Rejuvime Medical physician assistant reviews the results with patients, helping them take control of their personal health care choices. We offer a comprehensive blood analysis for women and men from New Orleans and Shreveport, LA, and Jackson, Gulfport, and Hattiesburg, MS.

Comprehensive Hormone & Wellness Panels

Patients considering treatment at Rejuvime Medical start with a consultation and a comprehensive hormone and wellness panel, followed by a lab review and evaluation performed by one of our physician assistants.

Blood test results are usually available within a week.

For Women

For women, the blood panel provides a baseline overview of your sex hormones, thyroid gland, adrenal function, metabolic function, and overall health. Complete Thyroid Panel

Thyroid hormones regulate our body’s metabolism and influence virtually every organ system in the body. They tell organs how fast or slow they should work. Thyroid hormones also regulate the body’s consumption of oxygen and production of heat. Thyroid problems, such as an overactive or underactive thyroid, can severely affect metabolism. It’s important to know about several thyroid conditions. Our program includes comprehensive testing of the thyroid gland (TSH), in addition to the thyroid hormones, thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). When the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones, the body uses energy at a slower pace than it should. This condition, underactive thyroid, is called hypothyroidism. Customized medications are available to treat hypothyroidism.*

Panels include the following tests:

  • TSH Free T4
  • Free T3
  • Reverse T3
  • Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (Anti-TPO)

What You Should Know

It’s important that patients getting blood tests follow these instructions:

  • If currently on treatment, you must schedule blood draws on your injection date for the most accurate results
  • We recommend fasting for 8 hours before doing a full blood panel
  • Do NOT inject testosterone or apply the cream directly prior to a blood draw.
  • Please hydrate!
