One of the primary hormones involved in facial aging is estrogen, particularly in women. Estrogen is crucial in maintaining skin hydration, fat, bone, collagen production, and overall skin thickness. As women enter menopause, estrogen levels decline, leading to a decrease in collagen production and skin thickness, as well as fat and bone loss.
