Peptide Therapy (HGH)

Powerful peptides help slow the aging process and enhance your quality of life. They improve your energy and mood and lead to a general sense of well-being. Women and men with low human growth hormone (HGH) can benefit from customized, medically monitored treatment plans.

We offer peptide therapy in Baton Rouge, the New Orleans area, and our other Rejuvime Medical clinics in Louisiana and Mississippi.

What are Peptides?

Peptides are short-chain amino acids found naturally in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, and these particular amino acids enhance specific body functions affected by aging. There are more than 7,000 types of peptides, including those that increase human growth hormone (HGH or GH) levels in the body. Other peptides promote weight loss, such as GLP-1.

Who Can Benefit from Peptide Therapy?

Even though HGH therapy is often used to treat children, it has many benefits for adults with deficient levels of HGH. The body naturally produces fewer growth hormones as we age, which results in reduced energy, trouble sleeping, and a range of other age-related issues.

At Rejuvime Medical, we use sermorelin to help augment human growth hormone production. It works by stimulating growth hormone release from the pituitary gland using your own cells’ machinery and then releasing it into your system. If our doctors determine that HGH would be a good strategy for your anti-aging routine, we will evaluate your specific needs and recommend a dose and frequency that is optimal for you.

What are the Benefits of Peptide Therapy?

In regenerative medicine, peptides are used to address symptoms associated with low growth hormone in adults, with potential gains in mood, energy, and overall well-being. Benefits include:

  • Improving muscle mass
  • Increase bone density
  • Prevents joint deterioration
  • Enhance Oxygen Uptake
  • Lower cardiovascular risk
  • Optimized metabolism
  • Thickening skin
  • Immune regulation
  • Improves low libido

Responses to peptide therapy vary. Because similar symptoms may stem from other conditions, partner with your primary care clinician to choose the safest, most appropriate plan.

FAQ

Peptide Therapy (HGH) FAQ

  • What happens if I stop taking sermorelin?

Sermorelin has an ongoing effect in which optimal HGH levels can be sustained long after the last injection. Just like synthetic HGH, sermorelin initially must be injected every day. Unlike synthetic HGH, injection frequencies can be decreased or stopped altogether once optimal levels are sustained with sermorelin. Once results are achieved, patients are then switched to a maintenance protocol, eliminating the need for ongoing daily injections and reducing the total cost of therapy!*

  • When should I inject sermorelin?

We recommend injecting sermorelin just before going to bed. Growth hormone is primarily released while you sleep and provides the most benefits during this time. Sermorelin helps promote sleep and can, therefore, make you tired if taken during the day.

  • How do I mix and store sermorelin?

Sermorelin comes in a multi-dosed, injectable vial. Each vial contains a powder disc containing 15 mcg (15,000 micrograms) of lyophilized sermorelin acetate. The pharmacy vacuum seals the vial for your protection and the preservation of the hormone peptide. Each sermorelin vial also comes with a bottle of bacteriostatic water as a diluent. The bacteriostatic water is mixed with sermorelin to provide a solution for injection. We provide instructions on how to administer and store sermorelin.

  • How will I know Peptide Therapy is working?

If you’ve had trouble sleeping, you should notice an increase in the quality of your sleep within the first few weeks of therapy. Increased energy levels and improved mood are other signs the supplements are working. After 3 to 6 months of therapy, patients report noticeable or significant body changes, such as increased muscle tone and a leaner physique. Over time, patients will also notice a significant improvement in skin tone and health.

  • How often do I inject sermorelin?

The body eliminates sermorelin quickly after it’s injected, meaning you’ll need frequent injections until the sustained growth hormone levels reach normal and you see the desired benefits. Most patients inject themselves daily when they begin peptide therapy.

  • How do I inject sermorelin?

You should inject sermorelin into fat just below the skin’s surface. You’ll use a very small needle comparable to what a person with diabetes uses to inject insulin. Injections are initially prescribed daily, with the frequency decreasing over time.

  • How do you measure sermorelin’s effectiveness?

Most physicians who prescribe sermorelin and similar peptides measure effectiveness in patients through symptomology (the study of your symptoms), physical appearance, and blood analysis.
