A Lasting Solution for Excessive Underarm Sweat!

Whether you are the kind of person who tends to sweat a lot or just a little, nothing is more embarrassing than underarm sweat stains and odor. Until recently, dealing with yellow stains on our white shirts or the chalky mess left behind by deodorants have just been part of life. Today, thanks to Miradry treatments offered by Rejuvime Medical, there is a non-invasive treatment that can significantly reduce or eliminate these problems – permanently!

MiraDry is the first and only non-invasive treatment to eliminate your underarm sweat and odor glands for good. FDA-cleared and CE marked, the MiraDry treatment is done in the comfort of your doctor’s office and is quick, taking only about one hour. After your treatment, you can expect to see immediate and lasting results.

How Does Miradry Work?

The first step is using injections of lidocaine and epinephrine to numb the local area to pain, prepping the location for treatment. Then, the Miradry handpiece is applied directly on your underarm so that it can deliver a precisely controlled electromagnetic energy directly to the area in which your sweat glands are located. This results in thermolysis, which is the breakdown of molecules from heat. A part of this process that makes MiraDry unique is that while this breakdown is occurring on the sweat glands, the top layers of underarm skin are cooled and protected at the same time. Unlike traditional surgical methods of removing the sweat glands, Miradry is completely non-invasive and there is no downtime involved. Many patients only require one treatment however, for best results, it is usually recommended that a follow-up treatment is scheduled three months from the first. On either treatments, you can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.

What Type of Recovery Is There?

Miradry is a non-invasive procedure, meaning there is no surgery of any kind. Minor side effects of the treatment include swelling, redness, and tenderness that typically lasts for several days, with some numbness and tingling lasting up to five weeks. Beyond this, you should have no problem returning to your normal activities immediately. It may be recommended that you wait a few days before resuming any type of strenuous exercise routine due to localized pain and swelling.

You should see a dramatic reduction in sweat production in your underarm areas immediately following the procedure. According to a clinical study conducted by Miramar Labs, Inc. the average sweat reduction was an impressive 82%.

Is removing my sweat glands safe?

The following is a quote from Caryolyn Jacob, MD, in an article from a Seminar in Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery:

“The treatment of primary axillary hyperhidrosis can be rewarding using noninvasive microwave technology. Because the microwaves preferentially target the region of skin where the sweat glands reside, leading to localized thermolysis of the sweat glands, patients can now benefit from permanent targeted sweat reduction. The microwave treatment has been shown to be safe and effective in >6000 procedures to date.” That being said, the biggest question we receive is usually: “Don’t I need my sweat glands?”

The typical human is born with around two million sweat glands, with roughly 2% of them residing in our armpits. The truth is that, regarding our armpits, we don’t need them! The reduction in our underarm sweat glands is so minimal to our overall portion of glands that our body doesn’t even notice. Aside from the benefits of dry underarms, the body will continue to perspire normally everywhere else (with no “compensatory” sweating in other areas).

Low libido can affect confidence, relationships, and overall well-being. While stress, lifestyle, and emotional factors all play a role, one of the most common and often overlooked causes is hormone imbalance. When hormone levels are out of sync, both men and women may notice changes in sexual desire and performance . Understanding Libido and Hormones Libido, or sexual desire, is a complex process influenced by the brain, body, and emotions. Hormones act as the body’s chemical messengers, controlling everything from mood and metabolism to reproductive health. When hormone levels shift too high or too low, they can disrupt sexual desire. The three most important hormones connected to libido are testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone. Each one influences sexual health differently, but all three work together to maintain balance.
